He is working on another rehabilitation programme and has returned to light training, with the Brazil international posting “back to work” on social media after stepping back onto the grass.

Neymar has been restricted to just seven outings for Al-Hilal, scoring one goal, but is tied to a contract through to the summer of 2025 that includes the option for a 12-month extension. He has spoken of his desire to honour that deal and grace the FIFA Club World Cup, before kicking on towards the next international World Cup in 2026.
