Fabinho was signed out of nowhere for £39m, but the versatile Brazilian international is yet to feature in the Premier League.

While his primary position is as a defensive midfielder, the former Monaco star can also play right-back, which could come in handy during the Reds’ difficult fixture run.

Fabinho played the full 90 minutes at right back for Brazil on Friday night, as they beat the United States in a friendly in New Jersey.

He was solid defensively all game, and even got forward down the wing, winning a penalty that Neymar converted shortly before half time.
