The Ligue 1 leaders stormed into the next phase of the Champions League with a result that'll make tournament favourites Liverpool and Barcelona sit up and take notice. After finishing a disappointing 15th in the league phase, a seeded PSG side vented their frustration against fellow French outfit Brest, winning 3-0 in the first leg before running riot in Paris to secure a 10-0 victory on aggregate.

This was PSG's biggest-ever win in a European competition according to Opta, while their opponents gained the unwelcome record of suffering the heaviest defeat for a French team in the Champions League. Having flattered to deceive in the Champions League for much of the 2024/25 campaign, the French champions will enter the last 16 with a spring in their step.

Georgia star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia — one of the seven goalscorers on the night — told Canal+ after the game: "We had to keep winning, it's not easy to win 7-0. I'm very happy, quite impressed with our team. Can we win the Champions League? That's our goal, we're going to do everything we can to do it."

Things don't get any easier for the Parisian giants; Luis Enrique and his team will face a tough opponent in the round of 16, with either Liverpool or Barcelona set to square up to PSG. The draw for the next round will take place on Friday 21 February at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland. After this result, Luis Enrique and his team won't fear anyone.
