Gallagher has only one year left on his contract although Chelsea are expected to place a £50 million ($63.6m) valuation on a player who became the club's captain under Pochettino. Tottenham are interested, while Chalobah would only consider a move to a club playing European football. The pair's team-mates, though, are said to fear the prospect of losing two hard-working professionals.

Gallagher and Chalobah have made 175 appearances for the club in total and the Blues have significant fee protection on the latter, given that his deal runs until 2028. Fulham are said to be a potential suitor, as they are poised to lose Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer, as he has been linked with Manchester United.
