Jamal Musiala is on course to become the highest-paid player not just in Bayern Munich history, but also in Bundesliga history, as the club's higher-ups are planning to offer the German sensation a mega contract at the turn of the year, according to BILD. Musiala's current contract runs until June 30, 2026, having joined the club in 2019.

The new contract that Bayern Munich are set to offer to Musiala is set to exceed €100 million in total value. Sporting director Max Eberl wants to bind the 21-year-old to a long-term contract, given that he has become an increasingly important part of the setup and is an asset that cannot be let go of.
BILD has reported that Musiala will be tied to the club till 2030, which means that he will earn over €20m every season. Only Robert Lewandowski and Harry Kane have managed to earn that much on average per season in the past, making them the only two players in Bundesliga history to do so. Now, Musiala is set to leave the duo behind and become the player with the biggest contract in Bundesliga history.

Things are set to gather pace in the upcoming weeks as far as Musiala's contract extension is concerned. Eberl spoke following the 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund last weekend and talked about the negotiations with Musiala. "This is not just 'wishing for something'," he clarified. "What I can say is that we talk very, very intensively, talk well, talk a lot. Then two parties have to agree."
It is apparent that both sides want this association to continue in the long term, but BILD reported that an initial formal offer has not yet been made from Bayern's side.

Musiala has been one of the best players in the world this season, scoring 10 goals and assisting a further four in 18 games in all competitions. However, he failed to help the Bavarian giants overcome Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal Round of 16 earlier this week. Their next game is against Heidenheim in Bundesliga on Saturday, December 7, as Musiala will be aiming to guide his team to three more points in the absence of the injured Harry Kane.
