Galatasaray have confirmed the loan signing of Osimhen from Napoli. The Turkish club have confirmed they have not paid a fee to the Serie A club for a loan but have agreed to pay him a salary of €6m-per-season (£5m/$6.6m).

Before leaving the Serie A side, he put pen to paper on a new contract which extended his stay in Naples till June 30, 2027. A statement released by Napoli read, "SSC Napoli announces that it has temporarily transferred the sporting performances of the footballer Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray until 30 June 2025. At the same time, the Club has reached an agreement with the player for an option, in its favour, to renew the contract until June 30, 2027."
WHAT A GALATASARAY SAID
The official statement from the Turkish giants read, "An agreement has been reached with professional footballer Victor James Osimhen and his club SSCN Napoli SPA for the temporary transfer of the player free of charge. The football player will be paid a net seasonal salary of €6m for the 2024-2025 season."
GOALWHAT NEXT FOR VICTOR OSIMHEN?
Osimhen was banished from the first-team squad by Antonio Conte after the 25-year-old saw a failed transfer to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli on the deadline day. However, the Nigerian is now expected to play the first match of the 2024-25 campaign on September 14 as Galatasaray take on Rizespor in a Turkish top-division clash.
