According to reports from Sky Sports, Arsenal have tabled a staggering £92million transfer bid for Monaco attacker Thomas Lemar.

That would make the France international the north London outfit’s new club-record signing and would also suggest Alexis Sanchez is likely to complete a much-speculated move to Manchester City following another bid from Pep Guardiola’s side.

However, Liverpool are also known admirers of the 21-year-old and reports even as recent as this morning – courtesy of The Independent – billed him as a key Deadline Day transfer target for Jurgen Klopp, one who could set the Reds back as much as £74million.

Arsenal’s bid appears to have put them at the front of the queue for Lemar’s services and safe to say, Liverpool fans on Twitter aren’t exactly happy about it.

While some have demanded their club match the offer, others are simply livid that Liverpool have allowed Arsenal to get this far and a few are even blaming the club’s owners…
