Manchester United have reportedly provided Andre Onana and his family with 24-hour protection after his wife was the victim of a robbery.

The Daily Mail reports that after Melanie Kamayou had her £62,000 Hermes bag and Rolex watch stolen as she got out of her car at San Carlo restaurant in Alderley Edge, just south of Manchester, United have provided round-the-clock protection at the family home in Hale.

The report adds that the Cameroonian international is 'furious' over the incident on March 29 and his wife is still 'distressed' as the culprit remains at large. And while one man has been arrested and appeared before Chester Magistrates' Court on Friday, the assailant is still out there.
