Irish midfielder Thomas O'Connor has signed a new three-year deal with Wrexham after helping them secure promotion to League One.

The 25-year-old joined the Red Dragons in 2022 from Burton Albion and has appeared in 80 games across all competitions for the club. He has played a key role in the club securing back-to-back promotions to the English third division and has now been rewarded with a brand new contract.

After putting pen to paper on a new deal, O'Connor told the club's official website: "I’m delighted, it’s been a great two and a half years and I’m really looking forward to seeing where this journey will go. Everyone knows the pull of Wrexham and there’s a real feel-good factor after back-to-back promotions. A lot of people would jump at the chance of playing for Wrexham, so I am delighted to sign my new contract."

The former Southampton youth product played in 39 matches across all competitions for the club last season where he scored once and contributed three assists. His only goal of the campaign came in an FA Cup third-round win over Shrewsbury from a brilliant free-flowing team move.
